Tomorrow is a very special day for us here at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. Jacob Henry Tucker Clark is going to be baptized by Bishop Scarfe. In our prayer book it says: Holy Baptism is full initiation by water and the Holy Spirit into Christ's Body the Church. The bond which God establishes in Baptism is indissoluble.
We are deepening the bond between Jacob and God's Church. My hope. My prayer is that Jacob's spiritual self will be nourished by his baptism and he will continue to grow in body and soul all of his days. There is an African saying, "it takes a village to raise a child." You and I are part of Jacob's village. I invite you to join us tomorrow to celebrate with Jacob's family this holy event. The service starts at 9:30.
