We had our regional meeting today in Ottumwa. There are three churches in our region, Chariton, Ottumwa, and Oskaloosa. Lydia, the youth director from the diocese in Des Moines, was there as well. I am especially interested in the work she is doing with young adults around the state. She is reaching out to young adults in less conventional ways and she has been hugely successful.
She has had services in restaurants, above taverns, and just about anywhere people gather. I like her ideas and I have invited her to come visit us in May. It should be interesting!
Tomorrow is Palm Sunday and we will be visited by the girl scouts. They meet at St. Andrew's every week but this is the first time they have come for a service. I'm so excited!
