What can you say or do to end this violence that seems to have gripped our nation. There is no simple explanation for it. We need to search our own selves and never forget that we are to love our neighbor.
I offer you this prayer from the Book of Common Prayer:
O God, you
have bound us together in a common life. Help us in the midst of our
struggles for justice and truth to confront one another without
hatred or bitterness, and to work together with mutual forebearance
and respect; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
With prayer comes reflection and eventually action.
