Shrove Tuesday

We are getting all excited here at St. Andrew's.  Every year we host for the community our Shrove Tuesday pancake and ham supper.  Shrove Tuesday is also called Fat Tuesday because traditionally people would clean out their cupboards and have a feast before the more penitential days of lent which begins the next day on Ash Wednesday.

We usually have lots of people attending and feasting.  We ask for a free will donation and all the money we raise is given to our local food pantry.  If you are reading this and you live anywhere near Chariton, Iowa we would love to serve you pancakes and ham. We will be serving from 5 -- 7 p,m.

Blessings,
Fr. Fred
