Sherry and I just finished watching Twelve Years a Slave. It was a wonderful movie in an awful sort of way. The cruelty that was dealt on those poor souls is unconscionable. Brad Pitt is a producer and actor in the film and one of the things his character stressed in the film was that there are universal truths. I believe there are. I just wish we could all agree on what they are.
On a different note. Two friends of ours, Tim and Karen, visited us from Denver and here is a picture they had taken after the service. Sam actually took the picture. We had a wonderful time with them. Sherry isn't really that tall. She was standing on the alter.
