Busy

We have been very busy this week preparing for my ordination on July sixth.  Most of our busyness has little to do with spiritual growth and more to do with things like getting information to the printer so we can send out invitations, hanging new blinds in the guild hall and ordering refreshments and picking readings for the service.  This last item probably comes closest to spiritual growth.

We had a good inter church council meeting on Tuesday.  This years baccalaureate went very well and we discussed the setting for next year.  We decided to keep holding it in churches.  There is a Jewish family in town that will be attending and we discussed making them comfortable with the event.  The council is a good group of people who get a lot done.  I am glad to be a part of it.
